A Forever Family

On November 27th we were able to do Corey's temple for him and it is good to remember that death does not prevent families from being forever. We love Corey so much and know how much he continues to bless our lives daily. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Home Sweet Home!

This past weekend Matt and Michelle were able to come home for the weekend. The weather was amazing, Michelle especially enjoyed being able to wear shorts one last time before the cold and dreadful winter comes to Provo. We were able to go to Centennial's last home game of the season. Surprise, Surprise they actually won! They beat Faith Lutheran High School!! YAY!! We were also able to have Boyd's cousin, Trudy and her husband, and two daughters come over and have a delightful barbecue and some yummy cake all in all. We can't wait to have them come home again, which won't be until November for Thanksgiving!

Prayers Needed

Corey was hiking with his boy scout troop in Zion National Park near St. George, Utah. He got seperated from his group and now is missing. He has been missing since Wednesday afternoon. If everyone could please drop down whatever they may be doing and at this instance and say a prayer for him that he may be safe and those that are searching for him may be guided to where ever he his. Thanks.

Elder Buxton is now in ENGLAND!!!

Well Elder Jeff Buxton is now in the Preston England MTC. He left Las Vegas at 9:46 am on Thursday, June 17th and arrived in Manchester, England at 8:45 am on June 18th! What a day! (He did have a layover in Atlanta, so he was able to take a breather). It is weird to have him gone, but to see pictures at his send off you can go to his missionary blog here! His weekly emails will be posted on that blog as well as pictures from his mission!

School's Out for the Summer!!! Well, for Jeff it is

BYU ended about a week ago. Which means for most college students that they pack up all their junk, pile it into their car and drive home for the summer. That is exactly what Jeff did. My parents came up to Provo on Friday and they filled their Tahoe full of Jeff's junk that he collected over the 8 months living in the dorms. Matt is staying in Provo to gain Utah residency so he can work and in the fall pay a lower rate of tuition because he will be a new Utah resident or a Utard as my family calls it. I, Michelle decided to stay in Provo and go to Spring term which means that I will be going to school until the middle of June. I decided I wanted to be around people my age and get to know them better, but also take classes that I have always wanted to take but have never had the chance to take them. But after Spring Term is done, I am packing up all my junk and hauling back home to Las Vegas for 2 months and work while I am home.

Some other exciting news is........ Jeff's mission farewell is June 13th at 11:00 am at the Church on Alexander and El Capitan. Everyone is invited to attend and details will come later when we will be holding a open-house for him.

I hope everyone has a wonderful start of the summer and are all doing well!

Corey's Amazing Prom Dates

Corey had the chance of a lifetime! These past two weekends (April 10th and 17th) he was able to go to 2 Proms! The first weekend was the Mormon Prom. Several stakes in the valleys got together and rented out an airplane hanger in North Las Vegas. The groups got to sign up to eat dinner at member's houses around the valley and then went a 40's style Prom in the hanger! Corey absolutely loved it and wants them to continue to do the Mormon Prom for upcoming years.

The second Prom Corey went to was the school's Prom. However, his group decided that the tickets to the school Prom were way to expensive so they did their own thing. They had dinner at a restaurant, went to see Beatles' Love on the Strip and went back a member of their group house and made cookies and all had a blast! He loved both nights and got to take two amazing girls on two fantastic dates!
